99 Days
A long time ago I did a piece called "99 Days" that was a daily study of a single object. Peter Dreher did a similar thing - famously - called Tag Um Tag Ist Guter Tag (Day By Day, Good Day) in which he painted the same water glass thousands of times. Crazy.
My study was a white china cup and saucer rendered every day into a sketchbook with a variety of media. I changed the lighting, the "pose" and tried different styles. Some better than others.
I thought I'd dust it off for a new submission to Echo. And though this piece is over 25 years old, Manifest believes "great art has no expiration date" so here we go. Submitting in the form of a 36 x 40 inch print.
